GALESBURG, Ill. -- The Augustana Vikings JV men's golf team competed at the two-day Knox Invitational on Saturday and Sunday, finishing sixth out of eight teams.

Jakob Stefanowicz and Jacob Brokaw led the Vikings with a score of 160 to tie in 21st place. Stefanowicz had round scores of 79 and 81 and Brokaw shot 77 on Saturday and wrapped up the weekend with a score of 83. Danny Ford followed in 24th place with scores of 83 and 81 for a total of 161. Carter Rose also finished in the top 30 with a total of 164 after shooting 83 and 81.

Other scores for Augie were Luke Peterson with 167, Crayton Hardin with 169, Thomas Fornelli with 171, and Andrew Reishus with 187.

As a team, the Vikings finished with a score of 649, which was only three shots behind Grinnell in fifth. 

The Vikings will return to action on April 22 for the Fyre Lake Invitational at the Highland Springs Golf Course.
