ROCK ISLAND -- The Augustana Vikings women's tennis team will be back in action on Friday, April 12 when they welcome in the Central Dutch for Senior Day at Lincoln Park.

Augie enters the match with an 8-11 overall record, recently defeating Loras last Saturday at home by a score of 6-3. Augustana faced an early deficit after Loras secured two of the three doubles contests. Caitlyn Hanulikova and Hannah Colbert earned the lone point for the Vikings in doubles, winning at the No. 1 position by a score of 8-3. In singles, the Vikings bounced back with five wins, including Hanulikova's 6-4, 6-0 victory at No. 1 singles. With the win, she earned her 100th career victory at Augustana, becoming just the 32nd player in program history to accomplish that feat. Additionally, she is the first to do so since Annie Timm in 2021. She was named the CCIW Student-Athlete of the Week this week following her 2-0 effort.

Elsewhere in singles, Natasha Gauerke at No. 4 won swiftly by a final of 6-0, 6-1, while Hattie Timerman also made quick work of her opponent at No. 5 with a 6-2, 6-1 final score. Maddy Harned earned a 6-4, 6-2 triumph at No. 6, while Colbert won in three sets at No. 2.

Central currently sits with a 9-9 overall record. The Dutch are winners of their last three contests, including a 7-2 win over Simpson this past Sunday in their most recent outing. All three wins during the team's current streak have come on the road, where they currently sport a 4-6 record. Friday will be the 23rd meeting between the two programs, with Augie holding a 19-3 advantage all-time. The teams met last season in Rock Island, resulting in a 6-0 win for the Vikings.

Start time is scheduled for 5 p.m.
