Box Score ROCK ISLAND -- The Augustana Vikings women's tennis team was defeated in a close battle by the Roosevelt Lakers on Saturday, falling by a score of 5-4.

The Lakers took two of three doubles matches to bring a 2-1 advantage in singles. Caitlyn Hanulikova and Hannah Colbert earned the lone doubles point for Augie at the No. 1 position, defeating their opponent by a score of 8-7 (7-5). 

The first two matches in singles were won by Roosevelt to bring the score to 4-1. Augustana responded with wins in the next three matches to even the score, earning a win from Colbert at No. 3 by a score of 6-3, 7-6(5), as well as a pair of three-set triumphs from Hanulikova and Anna-Maria Huebel at No. 1 and 2. The Lakers claimed the final win at No. 5 to seal the 5-4 victory.

With the loss, Augustana drops to 6-8 on the season. The team will be back in action March 25 against Union (N.Y.) in Florida.
