PELLA, Iowa — The Augustana Vikings men's wrestling team completed the Central Last Chance Invitational on Friday, where five individuals finished in the top five. 

Braiden Young conquered the 184 weight division after receiving a pair of byes. Young followed with a fall against his opponent from Eureka to move to the semifinals. In the semifinal round, Young secured a 3-1 tie break win and a 4-1 sudden victory to take first place. Clay DeBaillie earned third place in the same weight division, winning by major decision in his final match over Schreiner.

Elsewhere, Samuel Deyro secured fourth in the 141 category, while Jack Reina finished fifth. In the semifinals, Reina grabbed a fall against Chris Sitter and another fall against Khaydn Jacobs to secure fifth place. Will Taylor also claimed fifth in 133, bouncing back from a consolation semifinal loss with a victory via fall in his final contest.

The Vikings will be back in action on Thursday, February 15 for the CCIW Championships in Elmhurst, Ill.
