Simpson enters the contest with a 0-3 record on the season and returns to action after competing at the Coe Tournament on November 23. The Storm had six athletes secure a top-10 placement at the event. Jonathan Valdez led the team with a third-place finish in the 133 weight category after a bye, a 3-2 decision, a pin, and a 6-5 decision. Simpson holds a 0-2 home record so far this season with their last home territory dual concluding in a 49-0 loss on November 15. Augie holds a 7-3 all-time record over the Storm since 2013 with last year's meeting resulting in a 37-16 victory for the Vikings in the Carver Center.
