members of the Augustana Vikings women's volleyball team have been named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team, the organization announced Tuesday. Augie's
Kylie Collachia,
Kacie Swanson, and
Emily Schipper were among those recognized.
Collachia, a senior from Fulton, Ill., is a Elemenatary Education major at Augustana. She started all 27 matches she appeared in this season and led the team in assists with 735 at a 6.74 assists per set mark. She also added 13 service aces and 25 total blocks.
Swanson, a junior from Sherrard, Ill., is a double major at Augustana in Business Management & Marketing and Graphic Design. She appeared in 28 matches this season and had 30 digs, eight service aces, and did not commit an error.
Schipper, a graduate student from Fulton, Ill., is pursuing a Master's in Speech-Language Pathology at Augustana. She ended her career with the Vikings as the all-time leader in kills and became just the sixth player in program history to total 1,000 career kills and digs. The All-Conference selection led the team in kills with 437, kills per set with 3.67, and was third in service aces with 26 and second in digs with 309. Schipper will advance to the Academic All-American voting stage.
