NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- Michael Macias of the Augustana Vikings men's wrestling team has been named the CCIW Men's Wrestler Student-Athlete of the Week, the conference announced Wednesday. 

Macias earned this honor after his performance at the dual meet against Central and Simpson. The sophomore collected a 2-0 record, highlighted by a victory over a nationally-ranked wrestler from Central.

In the dual meet against Central, Macias won a 6-5 decision over his nationally-ranked opponent and notched three team points. In the matchup against Simpson, the sophomore collected a 15-0 technical fall to secure five team points.
