Terre Haute, Ind. – Fifth-year senior Emma Odle will compete at the national cross country meet on Saturday after her performance at the NCAA Midwest Regional Championships. At the regional competition, Odle finished in fifth place, the third-best finish of any Viking woman over the 6k distance in school history. Her time of 21:48.6 was just shy of her recent personal best and new school record which she set at last week's CCIW Championships in Warrenville, Ill.
 
This will be Odle's second time qualifying for the NCAA DIII Cross Country Championships, which she also qualified for in the 2023 season. At the 2023 championships, Odle finished in 70th place with a time of 22:14.8. She will look to improve upon her standing in this year's championship meet, already having run faster times throughout the 2024 season.
 
The women's 6k race is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. EST at the LaVern Gibson Championship Course in Terre Haute, Ind. Live results can be found here. The live stream can be found here.
