Emily Schipper awarded Second Team All-CCIW

NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- For the second year in a row, Emily Schipper of Augustana women's volleyball has been named to the CCIW's All-Conference Team.

Schipper earned a Second Team nod after leading the Vikings in kills and kills per set this season. She finished the regular season with 418 kills in 29 matches played and had an average of 3.67 per game. In all matches played, Schipper ranked fifth in the CCIW in kills per set and was third in total kills. In conference contests oly, she sat sixth in kills per set and third in total kills. Additionally, she posted the seventh-highest kill total in the league this season with 21 against Carroll, which also proved to be the second highest in a four-set match. 

Defensively, she was second on the Vikings in digs with 295 during the season and ended with a 2.59 average per set. Her 45 total blocks and 24 service aces are good for third and fourth most on the team

This season, Schipper became the all-time leader in program history in kills and is now the sixth player in program history to surpass both 1,000 career kills and digs.

Additionally, Ashley Awbrey was named the recipient of the CCIW's RESPECT Award.
