Terre Haute, Ind. – The Augustana Vikings finished ninth of 46 teams at the DIII Pre-Nationals meet. Senior Finbar Martin, who won last week's Brissman-Lundeen Invitational, finished as the Vikings' top runner. He placed 22nd with a time of 25:04.83 over the 8k distance. Martin's run bettered his previous 8k personal best by roughly 35 seconds.
 
Seniors Joe Langridge and Grant Ackard crossed the line in 31st and 32nd place with times of 25:17.59 and 25:19.19, respectively. Ackard tied his personal best over 8k.
 
Alex Gazarek and Adam Miller rounded out the Vikings' top five with times of 26:11.37 and 26:23.24. Gazarek and Miller both ran personal bests.
 
Against its future Midwest Regional meet competitors, Augie claimed the fourth-best place.

The Vikings will be back in action on October 19 for the Augustana Interregional Invite at Saukie Golf Course.
