ROCK ISLAND, Ill. – The Vikings finished ninth of 40 teams at the fourth annual Augustana Interregional Invite on Saturday. Seniors Grant Ackard and Finbar Martin finished in 21st and 22nd respectively, each with a time of 24:50.1. Ackard garnered a nearly 30-second personal best in the race. Martin bettered his 8k personal best by 15 seconds. Senior Joe Langridge finished closely behind the duo in 30th place with a time of 25:00.5.
 
Adam Miller and Alex Gazarek rounded out the Vikings' top five in 83rd and 156th place with times of 25:44.1 and 26:33.6. Miller also earned a personal best over the 8k distance. Augie finished the meet with 312 points overall, ahead of CCIW foes Carthage and Illinois Wesleyan. 
 
The Vikings will be back in action for the CCIW Championships in Warrenville, Ill. on November 2.
