MONMOUTH, Ill. -- The Augustana Vikings men's golf team sent two squads to the Fighting Scot Invitational over the weekend at Gibson Woods, with one team finishing in third place and the other in sixth.
Andrew Reishus notched a top 10 finish to lead the Vikings, finishing with round scores of 75 and 78 to finish +12 on the weekend.Â
Jakob Stefanowicz bounced back from a day one 80 score with a five-stroke improvement on day two, ending with a score of 155 to finish in the top 15.Â
Carter Rose carded a 157 to place close behind, while
Aaron Rogers and
Luke Petersen concluded the tournament one stroke apart to round out Augie players inside the top 20.
As a team, the Vikings saw one team in third with a final score of 629 (+61), seven strokes out of second. Their second team ended with a 658 in sixth, but was just four strokes out of fourth.
The Vikings will see another JV event on Thursday, September 21 when they take on St. Ambrose in a dual competition.Â
