ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Charlotte Frere completed her run at the NCAA Division III Outdoor National Championships on Thursday, finishing 17th overall in the discus throw competition. 

Frere placed 17th out of 22 competitors with a 41.68m hurl, her furthest attempt after recording a 33.41m toss and a fault in her first two attempts.

The first-year thrower solidified her spot at nationals with a 47.66m throw at the Augustana Midwest Twilight back on May 18. The freshman earned top-three finishes at eight of the nine competitions she participated in entering today. At the end of the regular season, Frere and three other Augustana teammates also received All-Region recognition, which is given to the top five performers in each event from each region.
