For the 16th time in last 17 seasons, the Augustana Vikings women's tennis posted double-digit wins after finishing the 2022-23 season with a 10-7 record. 

Augustana began the conference slate in early fall splitting their first four matches, moving over .500 with consecutive wins over Carroll and Elmhurst. The Vikings ended the CCIW portion of their schedule with a 4-4 record and a tie for fourth place to earn them the No. 5 seed in the conference tournament. Also in the fall, Augie posted a fourth-place standing at the Warhawk Invitational in Whitewater, Wis. and saw success at the ITA Regionals in St. Louis, Mo. with Hannah Colbert and Caitlyn Hanulikova both grabbing wins over players with higher rankings (UTRs). Hanulikova also earned fourth overall at the Warhawk Invitational, losing to the eventual champion from Grinnell.

Lily Schoeck was named Second Team All-CCIW following the conclusion of conference action, making it three seasons in a row earning all-conference honors.

After a four-month break, the Vikings began the spring slate with an impressive win on the road over the Luther Norse, winning by a final of 5-4. The Norse snagged two doubles wins, but Augustana responded with four wins in singles to squeak out the victory. The team was successful in tight moments, winning three of four three-set matches. Michaela Magee at No. 3, Colbert at No. 4, and Lauren Oda at No. 6 all won their first sets before dropping the second. Magee and Colbert were victorious in their tie-breaking sets to keep Augie alive in the match. Natasha Gauerke battled back from a first-set loss, winning the second by a score of 6-3 before winning 10-7 in the super tiebreaker to earn the fifth and match-clinching point for Augustana. 

The Vikings made it three wins in their first four non-conference matches to begin the spring, sweeping a weekend in Iowa with a pair of victories over Coe and Cornell. Augie closed out the regular season with back-to-back victories at home, defeating St. Ambrose 9-0 before knocking off Central on Senior Day by a score of 6-0. 

For the second consecutive season, the Vikings entered the CCIW Tournament as the No. 5 seed and also for the second year in a row, knocked off No. 4 seeded Carthage to advance to the CCIW semifinals. The Firebirds took the opening doubles match from the Vikings, but after a win at No. 2 from Augie, Gauerke and Grace Rider narrowly took the win at No. 3 by an 8-7 score to give the team the advantage heading into singles play. Augustana earned the first four wins to move on to the next round, but fell to eventual champion and top-seeded North Central to end their season.

Three Vikings posted double-digit singles wins in 2022-23, led by Hanulikova's 14-7 mark. Magee finished with 13 wins, followed by 12 from Colbert. Magee ends her career with a 38-16 record in singles, good for the 21st best winning percentage (.704) in Augustana history.

Hanulikova led the team in doubles wins with 11, followed by eight from Colbert and Gauerke, and seven apiece from Oda and Schoeck.

All 15 members of the team earned letters this season. The women's tennis team also posted the highest GPA for any team in 2022-23, finishing with a 3.66 average. Three members of the team -Magee, Oda, Rider - were named College Sports Communicators Academic All-District.
