ROCK ISLAND – The Augustana men's golf team placed fourth out of seven teams at the Viking Invitational at Highland Springs Golf Course over the weekend. 

At the two-day home competition, Augie recorded a team score of 608, with respective round scores of 301 and 307. Noah Ehlenbach led the Vikings and finished sixth individually with a 150, carding consecutive round scores of 75. Ehlenbach paced the tournament with eight birdies, while teammate Tyler Langel tied four other golfers with seven. Langel and Adam Soczka totaled 153 for Augustana, with rounds of 74, 79, and 78, 75, respectively. 

Rounding out scoring for the Vikings, Jonah Snelling totaled 154, turning in round scores of 74 and 80. 

Augie entered an second team in the tournament, with Aaron Rogers, David Schwartz, and Billy Taylor tying for top spot, each carding 161.

For their next competition, the team will travel for the CCIW Championships from May 4-6 at Whitetail Ridge Golf Course in Yorkville, Ill.
