SPRINGFIELD, Ill. – The Augustana Vikings men's golf team visited The Rail Golf Course on Friday and Saturday for the Blueboy Invitational, finishing 14th out of 15 teams.

Augustana recorded a team score of 646, with respective round scores of 317 and 329 at the two-day competition. Adam Soczka led Augie after going +9  with a 153 score, carding rounds of 76 and 77. Soczka tied seven other golfers to finish 34th out of a field of 94. With scores of 78 and 86, Tyler Langel finished second of the team with a 164 total, ending in a two-way tie for the 54th spot.

Rounding out the scoring for the Vikings, Noah Ehlenbach and Jonah Snelling each carded a 165 with round scores of 80 and 85 from Ehlenbach and 84 and 81 from Snelling. The two Augie golfers tied with three other players for the 74th position.

Brendan Fritz entered as an individual, carding a 158 with round scores of 84 and 74 to finish +14.

The team returns to action on Friday, April 21 in Dike, Iowa for the Hawkeye Spring Invite at Fox Ridge Golf Course.
