ROCK ISLAND -- The Augustana Vikings women's tennis team will be back in action on Thursday, April 13 for their first home contest this spring when they host the St. Ambrose Fighting Bees.

It has been over a month since the Vikings' last match, which was a road defeat at Hope by a score of 9-0 back on March 11. The loss snapped a two-match winning streak for Augustana, defeating both Cornell and Coe prior to that. The Vikings currently sit with a 7-6 overall record and will play their final two regular season matches at home before the CCIW Tournament begins on April 20. Augie is 2-3 at their home courts this season.

St. Ambrose enters Thursday with a 5-13 overall record, currently enduring an eight-match losing streak. The Bees dropped a pair of matches against common opponents last time out, falling to Coe 8-1 before being defeated by Cornell 7-2. St. Ambrose has yet to earn a win this spring, with their last victory coming on October 8 against Simpson.

Augustana leads the all-time series between the two, 33-26. The Vikings have won the last three meetings dating back to 2013, with the most recent a 7-2 home win back in 2016.
