BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – The Augustana men's and women's indoor track and field teams competed in the Illinois Wesleyan Keck Division III Select on Saturday. The men's team finished seventh out of nine teams, while the women finished eighth out of 10 teams.

For the men, Connor McBride placed third in the 400-meter dash with a time of 50.84. The Vikings also had notable performances in the 200-meter dash from Seth Sottos in seventh with a time of 23.04, closely followed by Jason Smith in ninth at 23.23. The men's 4x400 meter relay team of McBride, Smith, Cameron Tomko, and Braeden Clements placed fourth out of 12 teams, running at a 3:29.34 time. 

Carson Eipers' 17.10-meter toss in the weight throw highlighted Augustana in field events. Eipers placed second out of 24 participants, while Magnus Wells finished fifth out of 25 tossers in the shot put with a heave of 13.66 meters.

On the women's side, the Vikings earned third-place finishes in the high jump and shot put competitions. Rhiannon Marshall tied three other runners for third with her leap of 1.60 meters. Heather Michalski earned her third-place finish with a shot put hurl of 13 meters. Michalski's field consisted of 27 other tossers.

Elsewhere, Anna Boardman notched a sixth-place finish out of 17 other runners in the 3000-meter race. In the 400-meter dash, Lina Maatouk finished in eighth place out of 29 other runners with her 1:04.23 time.

The Vikings will split up for their next competitions, heading to the SDSU Indoor Classic on February 10-11 along with the Darren Young Invitational at Grinnell on February 11.
