CLINTON, Iowa -- The Augustana Vikings men's and women's tennis teams will resume their seasons and begin the spring portion of their schedule on Saturday, February 18 when they take on the Luther Norse in a neutral-site matchup.

For the Viking women, the team enters spring with a 4-4 overall record, with all eight of their matches in the fall against fellow CCIW schools. The team is 3-2 in their last five outings after beginning the year 1-2. In their final outing of the fall, Augustana was defeated by Carthage at home by a final score of 6-3.

Lily Schoeck was named Second Team All-CCIW after competing at No. 1 singles and doubles all fall. She accumulated three wins in singles and two wins in doubles.

Augie is 6-11 all-time vs. Luther on the women's side. The two teams met last season in Decorah, Iowa, resulting in a 7-2 win for the Norse. The victory for Luther snapped a five-match winning streak in the series for Augustana.

On the men's side, the Vikings will compete in their first dual meet of the season after participating in two individual tournaments in the fall. Saturday will be the 28th all-time meeting between the two programs, with Luther holding an 18-9 advantage in the series. The two teams met last season in Rock Island, a 7-2 victory for the Norse.
