BLOOMINGTON, Ill. -- The Augustana Vikings women's volleyball team will begin its postseason run on Tuesday, November 7 when they visit the Illinois Wesleyan Titans in the CCIW Tournament quarterfinals.

Augie earned the No. 5 seed in this year's tournament after compiling a 4-4 conference record. The team is currently 23-7 overall, recently wrapping up the regular season with a 2-1 record at the home Pumpkin Bash. The Vikings began the weekend with a sweep of Central on Senior Night before taking down Coe in consecutive sets on Saturday, their second win over the Kohawks this season. Augustana then fell in the finale to Nebraska Wesleyan in five sets. Jaden Julius and Emily Schipper were named to the 2023 Pumpkin Bash All-Tournament Team.

On Monday, Schipper and Grace Vranicar were named First Team All-CCIW, while Syd Krueger and Amelie Baehr-Ross earned Second Team honors. The 23 wins for the Vikings so far this season are the most since the 2016 campaign.

Illinois Wesleyan enters the postseason tournament as the No. 4 seed after posting a 5-3 mark in conference. The Titans are 16-12 overall and are in the midst of a nine-match winning streak. The team recently concluded its regular season on Saturday with a non-conference home win over Aurora in four sets. Illinois Wesleyan is 8-5 at home this season and has won five straight contests on its home court.

The Titans knocked off the Vikings in Bloomington earlier this season by a score of 3-2. Illinois Wesleyan won the first two games, but a comeback effort from Augie tied up the match to force a fifth and deciding set. The Titans squeaked out a come-from-behind win in the fifth by a score of 17-15

Illinois Wesleyan leads the all-time series 45-28-1.

Start time on Tuesday is scheduled for 7 p.m.
