NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- The Augustana Vikings men's and women's wrestling teams fell to the North Central Cardinals on Wednesday. The women were defeated 42-4, while the men fell 45-7.

The women's team faced four All-American wrestlers at 123, 130, 143, and 155. The Vikings were in a competitive match at 123 until the very end. Sawyer Graham was the big story in the 170 division, where she had two feet-to-back takedowns to win 12-6. 

On the men's side, Augie had two wins. Michael Macias won the 149 division by an 11-4 decision, which was one point away from major decision. Jacob Badger found victory in 197 with a 16-3 major decision, beating a Cardinal wrestler that was ranked by the D3Wrestle as an honorable mention.

The men's wrestling team will return on November 30 for a home dual meet against the Simpson Storm. The women will return on December 16 for the Kalahari Duals hosted by Heidelberg
