ROCK ISLAND -- The Augustana Vikings women's tennis team will return to action on Wednesday, October 4 when they welcome in the visiting North Park Vikings for their final home match of the fall schedule.
Augustana currently sits at both 2-1 overall and in conference play, recently coming off of their first loss of the season on Sunday to the North Central Cardinals. The Cardinals took all three doubles matches to take a 3-0 lead into singles play.

Maitreyi Shrikhande nearly stole a point at No. 3 doubles for the Vikings, but fell in a close battle by a score of 8-6.
All six singles matches went in favor of North Central in consecutive sets.
North Park enters Wednesday with a 6-1 overall mark and is 3-1 in CCIW action. The Vikings recently knocked off Carroll on the road to secure their third conference win of the season, squeaking out a 5-4 victory. This came after the team suffered its first loss of the season, a 6-3 defeat to Wheaton. North Park is a perfect 4-0 away from home this season.
Augustana has never lost to North Park, winning all 25 meetings in program history. Augie won last season's encounter in Chicago by a final of 6-3.
