Box Score RACINE, Wis. -- The Augustana Vikings women's tennis team was defeated in its final regular season conference match on Saturday, falling 6-3 to the Carthage Firebirds.

Weather moved the match indoors to Lifesport in Racine and began with the Firebirds grabbing two out of three doubles matches for the early 2-1 advantage. Augie salvaged a point at the No. 1 position on an 8-4 victory from Hannah Colbert and Caitlyn Hanulikova.

The Vikings took two of the first three singles contests to even the score at 3-3 in the match. Hanulikova made quick work of her opponent at No. 2, winning by a score of 6-2, 6-0, while Colbert earned a 6-3, 6-4 victory at No. 3. Natasha Gauerke took her counterpart to three set at the No. 4 spot, but eventually fell in a tiebreaker.

With the loss, Augustana finishes the CCIW regular season and fall schedule with a 4-4 record. The team will resume action this spring.
