DECATUR, Ill. – The Augustana women's basketball team travels to face the Millikin Big Blue for a conference contest on Saturday, January 21. 

The Vikings currently hold an 11-6 record and are fresh off a dominant road win over North Central on Wednesday night by a 71-51 final. Augie got out to an early lead, finishing the opening half with a plus-10 point differential. In the second half, the Vikings pulled away off a dominant defensive effort in the final frame to secure a 71-51 victory. With 15 points and three three-pointers, Macy Beinborn tied Kristen Pence, who played from 2001-2005, for the most three-pointers made in a season (145).

The Big Blue enter's Saturday's contest sporting a 14-3 record while sitting at a perfect 8-0 in CCIW play. Millikin has yet to drop a contest at home and is currently on an 11-game win streak, dating back to November 30. Their most recent contest resulted in a 94-43 stomping of the Elmhurst Bluejays. With a 58-18 lead heading into the locker room at half, Millikin closed out the dominant performance with three scorers reaching double figures. 

Millikin leads the all-time series between the two programs by a 53-32 record. The Vikings are familiar with the Big Blue this season, having met at the Carver Center in a 69-54 defeat on December 3. Augie and Millikin traded shots in the first half, with Millikin carrying a narrow four-point lead into the halftime break. Out of the half, Millikin exploded for their best three-point shooting frame, building a double-digit lead to steal the road contest.
