ROCK ISLAND – The Augustana men's wrestling team returns home for a cross-river dual against the St. Ambrose Fighting Bees on Tuesday, January 3. 

The Vikings sport a 5-4 record after earning a trio of victories at the Gator Boots Duals before the holiday break. Augie secured convincing wins over Alma, Huntingdon, and Dubuque, with each victory coming by at least 16 points. The Vikings are currently 1-1 within the confines of the Carver Center this season, dropping their most recent home dual to No. 5 ranked North Central on December 15. 

St. Ambrose enters Tuesday's dual possessing a 2-13 record. The Fighting Bees are currently on a four-match skid, with their last victory coming on December 7 against Waldorf at home.

Augustana dropped the most recent matchup in the cross-river series to St. Ambrose, falling 24-23 in a narrow season-opening defeat on November 1, 2021. Augie rattled off class victories at 174, 197, and 285 to conclude the dual, but a team point deduction was issued, resulting in a one-point loss for the Vikings.
