ROCK ISLAND -- The Augustana Vikings women's volleyball team will return home beginning on Friday, September 30 as they get set to play three matches over the course of two days.

On Friday night at 7:00 p.m., Augie will host the No. 21 ranked Illinois Wesleyan Titans in a critical CCIW matchup. Augie currently sits 2-1 in the conference after defeating Millikin last Friday. The Titans sit at 10-3 overall on the season and 2-0 in league action. The team recently entered into the AVCA top 25 after winning eight of their last nine contests, which included a home victory over No. 6 ranked Washington-St. Louis. Illinois Wesleyan's two wins in conference came over Carroll and Carthage. The Titans were defeated in their most recent match on September 24, falling to No. 15 UW-Whitewater by a score of 3-1, snapping their eight-match winning streak.

Illinois Wesleyan leads the all-time series over Augustana 44-27-1. The Titans have won six straight over the Vikings, including a 3-0 win last season in Bloomington.

Following Friday's contest, the Vikings will host a tri-match on Saturday, October 1 with Loras and Grinnell. Augie will face off with the Loras Duhawks at 11:00 a.m. The Duhawks enter the weekend with a 4-11 overall record, having lost 10 of their last 11 after beginning the season 3-1. Loras was defeated in their most recent outing by Cornell by a final of 3-0. The Duhawks have played three common opponents with the Vikings this season, going 0-3 against Cornell, Wheaton, and Coe. 

Augustana is 17-15 all-time against Loras. The Duhawks defeated the Vikings last season 3-1.

At 3:00 p.m., Augie will face Grinnell in the final match of the weekend. The Pioneers come in with a 9-5 overall record, recently seeing a three-match winning streak halted in a 3-0 loss to Wartburg. The Vikings and Pioneers have played four common opponents this season, each going 4-0 against Marian, Monmouth, Central, and Buena Vista.

Augustana is 12-2 all-time against Grinnell, but fell in last season's meeting on the road by a score of 3-0.
