USAFA, Colo. -- The Augustana Vikings men's water polo team will be back in action September 24-25 with four non-conference matches at the Air Force Rare Air Invite.

Augustana currently sits at 7-2 overall and recently concluded a trip to Texas with a 4-0 showing at the 'Roo Invite. The Vikings end their regular season against MPSF schools with a perfect 5-0 record and recently found themselves inside the DIII top ten poll for the first time in program history.

On Saturday, the Vikings open up the weekend with a contest against the Long Island Sharks at 10:30 a.m. CST. The Sharks enter the weekend with a 1-4 record overall, playing three games against fellow MPSF foes. Long Island lost a pair of two-point games to Washington and Jefferson and Mercyhurst earlier this year, with their lone win coming in a 20-4 defeat of Penn State Behrend. Augustana sits at 5-0 against those teams in 2022. This will be the first-ever meeting between the Sharks and Vikings.

Augie will close out Saturday's action at 3:00 p.m. against the Spirit of Ottawa (Ariz.). The Spirit enter with a 3-5 record, currently riding a three-game losing streak. Their first two defeats of the losing skid came by a combined three points to Chapman and La Verne, before dropping a 20-3 contest to Long Beach State. This will be the first-ever meeting between the two programs.

On Sunday, the Vikings will take on the host school Air Force Falcons at 11:30 a.m. CST. Air Force sports a 13-4 record, having won their last four outings. Three of the Falcons' four losses this season have come against nationally-ranked opponents, with three of those coming by two goals or less. The Falcons defeated Austin 15-4 earlier this season in their only matchup with a common opponent with Augustana. This will be the first-ever meeting between the two programs.

The final game of the weekend for the Vikings will feature a clash against the Biola Eagles at 3:00 p.m CST. Biola comes in with a 2-9 record and are currently enduring a four-game losing streak. The Eagles fell to Concordia-Irvine by a single point in their most recent out. Sunday's matchup will be the first-ever between Augustana and Biola.
