DECATUR, Ill. -- The Augustana Vikings women's volleyball team will be back in action on Friday, September 23 as they look to get back into the win column with a road matchup against the Millikin Big Blue.

The Vikings were defeated in their last outing on Tuesday, falling to North Central in three sets to break their five-match winning streak. Augie struggled with errors in the match, committing 24 attack errors to their 26 kills. The team had a chance to even the match in set two, storming back from a late deficit to get to set point at 24-23, but three straight scores from the Cardinals put them up 2-0 in the match, eventually closing it out a set later. Emily Schipper led Augustana with eight kills.

Millikin enters Friday with a 10-3 record and 2-0 mark in the CCIW following wins over Carroll and Elmhurst. The Big Blue have won seven of eight overall after beginning the year 3-2, including a win over No. 9 ranked UW-Whitewater over that span. Millikin defeated Carroll on the road on Wednesday in their most recent outing by a final of 3-1.

The Big Blue hold a 53-17 all-time record over the Vikings and have won 11 straight in the series dating back to 2013. Millikin won last year's meeting in Rock Island by a score of 3-1.
