ROCK ISLAND -- The Augustana Vikings women's volleyball team dropped a CCIW match inside the Carver Center on Tuesday, falling to the visiting North Central Cardinals by a score of 3-0 (25-17, 27-25, 25-17).

Jaden Julius led the way for the Vikings with eight and five kills, respectively. The Vikings struggled with mistakes throughout the match, committing 24 attack errors and five service errors, while only posting 26 kills as a team.
The Vikings charged back from a second-set deficit and face set point at 25-24 after trailing 24-22, but three straight from the Cardinals sealed up the victory to give them a 2-0 lead in the match. North Central mirrored their first-set efforts with an identical 25-17 score to claim the match win.
Reigning CCIW Student-Athlete of the Week
Amelie Baehr-Ross had 17 assists and 10 digs for the Vikings, both a team-high.
With the loss, Augustana drops to 10-4 overall and 1-1 in CCIW play. The team will be back in action on Friday, September 23 when they visit Millikin. Start time is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. from Decatur, Ill.
