KENOSHA, Wis. -- The Augustana Vikings men's tennis team has earned the No. 4 seed in the upcoming CCIW Championships set to begin on Thursday, May 5 at the Smeds Tennis Center on the campus of Carthage College. The Vikings will square off with the No. 5 seeded Millikin Big Blue, the second time in eight days the teams will have played.
Augie enters the CCIW Championships with a 6-11 overall record and went 4-3 in conference play. Augie fell to the three teams seeded above them in the tournament and picked up wins against the four teams seeded below them, including a 7-2 home victory over the Big Blue last Wednesday. Augie began with a sweep in doubles action to take a 3-0 lead into singles.

Leonardo Panosso picked up an 8-3 win at No. 1 to go with a pair of 8-4 victories at the other two spots. The Vikings went 4-2 in singles to earn the 7-2 victory, led by a win from Hermange at No. 1.
Millikin comes in sporting a 12-9 overall record finished the CCIW schedule with a 3-4 mark. The Big Blue have seen identical results from their conference slate as the Vikings this season, defeating the same three teams in Illinois Wesleyan, Elmhurst, and Carroll while also losing to the same three teams, excluding Augustana.
