NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- Arthur Hermange of Augustana men's tennis has been named the 2021-22 CCIW Newcomer of the Year to go along with First-Team All-Conference honors, the league announced Wednesday morning. 

Hermange went 8-8 overall during the regular season at No. 1 singles, but boasted a 6-1 mark in conference play to help lead the Vikings to a top-four standing in the CCIW. He is currently riding a four-match winning streak at No. 1 and is 7-2 in his last nine outings. He has also spent a good portion of the season at No. 1 doubles with partner Leonardo Panosso, where they have posted a 6-5 record overall.

The first-year student-athlete from Saclay, France also earned one CCIW Men's Tennis Player of the Week honor this season. Teammate Justin Cassens was awarded the RESPECT Award. For a complete listing of this year's all-conference awards, click here.
