ROCK ISLAND, Ill. – Viking men's golf hosted the 2022 Augustana Invitational this weekend. The Vikings finished in 18^th place out of 25 teams in attendance.
 
Webster University won the team race with a total score of +8. Illinois Wesleyan was the lowest CCIW team at +16 for the tournament. Augustana's 18^th-place finish included a +58-team score.
 
Webster also boasted the individual champion in Will Hocker who posted rounds of 71 and 66 for a total score of seven-under par. Carthage's Kevin Healy and IWU's Griffin Pohl each shot two-under while Solomon Zarling of Wisconsin Lutheran and North Park's Jack Haberkorn rounded out the top five at one-under.
 
Adam Soczka led Augustana's efforts with a T-36 finish after round of 76 and 77. Hunter Love also finished in the top 50 at T-45 with a final score of +11. Other Augie players included Daniel Ford (T-95^th, +18), Tyler Langel (+20, T-103), Jonah Snelling (+25, T-120), Billy Taylor (+28, 130), and David Schwartz (+33, 135).
 
The Vikings will be back in action on Monday, Apr. 11 when they travel to Pella, Iowa fo the Central Dutch Invite.
