LISLE, Ill. -- The Augustana Vikings women's tennis team will square off with top-seeded North Central on Friday, April 29 in the semifinals of the CCIW AQ Tournament at Benet Academy.

Augie earned the No. 4 seed after defeating No. 4 seed Carthage in the CCIW Championships back in October. The top four teams of the fall tournament clinched a spot in the automatic-qualifying championships in the spring. Augustana was defeated by Millikin in the third-place game to give them the No. 4 seed heading into Friday. The Vikings sit 7-14 overall on the season and were 4-4 in the CCIW this year. The team is coming off of a 7-2 defeat at Luther last Sunday.

North Central enters with a 19-5 overall record and are 8-0 this season in conference action. The Cardinals defeated the Vikings twice this year, first in Naperville by a score of 9-0 and then again at the CCIW Championships with a final of 5-0. North Central has lost four of their last five matches overall, with their most recent a 6-3 defeat to No. 33 UW-Whitewater.
