DECORAH, Iowa -- The Augustana Vikings women's tennis team will visit the Luther Norse on Sunday, April 24 for their final regular season contest of the year.
The Vikings enter the weekend with a 7-13 overall record and are coming off of a 7-2 victory over the Central College Dutch in their most recent outing back on April 9. Augie bounced back following a loss to Illinois Tech earlier that day with a strong start against the Dutch, sweeping doubles play to take a 3-0 advantage into singles. In singles, positions 1-4 resulted in victories for Augustana, all in consecutive sets.
Lily Schoeck picked up a win at No. 1 to help lead the team to the victory.
Luther currently sits at 15-10 overall and is 8-0 in their respective conference. The Norse were defeated by UW-Lacrosse in their last contest by a score of 6-3. Luther has lost seven of their last 11 matches. They are 3-0 against common opponents with Augustana this season, defeating Grinnell, Coe, and Central.
Augustana is 6-10 all-time against Luther, but have won the last five meetings dating back to 2015. The Vikings defeated the Norse 5-4 at home a season ago.
Start time is scheduled for 2:00 p.m.
