ELMHURST, Ill. -- The Augustana Vikings men's tennis team will visit the Elmhurst Bluejays on Tuesday, April 19 in their final regular season road match and a rescheduled contest from April 7.

Augie is coming off of a hard-fought 6-3 home win over Illinois Wesleyan on Saturday, coming back from a 2-1 deficit after doubles to win five of six singles matches. Half of the singles contests went three sets, with th Vikings securing wins in all of the matches that did not. Leonardo Panosso earned the match-clinching victory for the Vikings at the No. 2 spot, coming back from a set one loss to win the final two with scores of 6-1, 6-4. Arthur Hermange was the other winner for Augie at No. 1, also coming back from a first-set defeat.

Elmhurst sits at 5-5 overall on the season and 1-2 in the CCIW following a 9-0 win over Carroll in their most recent outing on Saturday. All but one of the Bluejays' ten matches this season have been played at home.

Augustana leads the all-time series between the two 48-9 and currently hold a nine-match winning streak over Elmhurst. In their most recent outing, the Vikings picked up a 5-0 win last May in the CCIW Tournament. This will be their first meeting in Elmhurst since 2018, which resulted in a 9-0 victory for Augie.
