NORMAL, Ill. – Augustana women's golf finished in 10
th place this weekend at the Kathy Niepagen Spring Fling hosted by Illinois Wesleyan University.
Grace Loverde was the lowest Viking on the individual leaderboard with a T-32 finish after rounds of 80 and 88 for a total of +24.
Other Viking players included
Avery Frick (T-40, +27),
Kelsey O'Connor (T-45, +29),
Rylie Schurter (T-49, +30),
Elena Kuczkowski (T-60, +34), and
Flynn Hartigan (T-64, +35).
The hosts from Illinois Wesleyan won the team crown and were also represented by the individual champion. Lexi Onsrud won the personal title after rounds of 69 and 79 for a total score of +4. Onsrud's final tally was four strokes lower than the two second-place finishers, Rachel Zhang of Rose-Hulman and Sydney Kuo and Wash U.
The Augustana women will be back in action next weekend at the Take Back the Night Challenge hosted by Millikin University on Apr. 22 and Apr. 23.
