VIERA, Fla. – Augustana women's golf took down cross-town rival St. Ambrose in a remote match play event at Duran Golf Club in Viera, Fla.

Allie Dennis on their final holes allowed the Augustana women's golf team to escape with a 6-3-1 victory on Wednesday over Quad City rival St. Ambrose in an exhibition at Duran Golf Club in Viera, Fla.
Augie's top two players dropped close matches to fall behind 2-0 but freshmen
Kelsey O'Connor and
Jennifer Larsson brought the match back to 2-2 with convincing wins. O'Connor did not lose a hole and had to play just 13 in her match while Larsson lost just one hole and played only 14 holes to secure victories.
Fellow freshman Elena Kuczkowski halved her match after being three up with three holes to play.
Junior
Flynn Hartigan won her match 5 and 3 and freshman
Neleigh Rush took care of business with a 6 and 5 performance. It was a battle to the wire in the dry but windy conditions.
Up next for the Vikings will be the Deere Run Invitational in the Quad Cities next Tuesday and Wednesday.
