HILTON HEAD, S.C. -- The Augustana Vikings men's tennis team picked up a dominating win on Wednesday over the Lawrence Vikings, winning by a score of 9-0 as part of their spring break trip down in the state of South Carolina.
The Vikings quickly brought a 3-0 lead into singles after sweeping doubles action. The team saw two quick wins at No. 2 and No. 3 from

Nicolas Navarro/
Justin Cassens, winning their match 8-1 and 8-0, respectively. The duo of
Arthur Hermange and
Leonardo Panosso earned a victory in the top spot by a score of 8-4.
In singles, all six matches were won in consecutive sets by Augie, including four 6-0, 6-0 wins at No. 3, 4, 5, and 6 from
Timothee Philip, Navarro, Luna, and Eliot St. Paul. Panosso and
Deepak Vayara rounded out the perfect slate for Augustana at the top two positions to complete the 9-0 match win.
With the win, the Vikings improve to 2-8 on the season. The team will compete in their final contest of the trip tomorrow at 9:00 a.m. CST against West Virginia State.
