ROCK ISLAND, Ill. – Augustana women's basketball (11-11) will host the Wheaton Thunder tomorrow night for a home CCIW contest. The Vikings will look to get back on track after faltering at Elmhurst earlier in the week.

Wheaton enters Wednesday's game with a 14-7 overall record and a 6-6 record in league action. The Thunder are currently on a two-game losing streak including a conference defeat versus Carthage and a loss to top-ranked Christopher Newport University, both at home. Wheaton's last win came on Jan. 29 on the road against North central.

The Thunder offense is led by Hannah Swider, the only double-digit scorer on Wheaton's roster, with 12.2 points per game. Annika Richardson scores just under that mark with 9.6 ppg. Ellie Cassel leads Wheaton on the boards with 177 total rebounds, good for an impressive average of 8.4 rebounds per game. Lily Schwen is the most prolific distributor with 3.6 assists per contest. Defensively, Swider leads the Thunder in steals with two per game.

Wheaton was victorious in this season's first matchup against Augustana. The Thunder took down Augie 56-47 behind Annika Richardson's 21 points.

Wheaton and Augustana are neck and neck with each other in the CCIW standings. The Thunder currently sit at fifth place while Augustana is just in the tournament field in sixth.
