CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa -- The Augustana Vikings women's tennis team will begin the spring portion of their 2021-22 season when they visit the Coe Kohawks on Sunday, February 27.

The Vikings went 5-7 in the fall portion of their schedule that included the entirety of the CCIW slate. Augie earned the No. 5 seed in the CCIW tournament and defeated No. 4 Carthage to guarantee them a top-four standing and a berth into the CCIW AQ Tournament in late April. The winner will earn an automatic trip to the NCAA Tournament.

Caitlyn Hanulikova and Lily Schoeck both earned all-conference honors following their performances in the fall, with Hanulikova leading the way for the Vikings with double-digit singles wins and a 10-2 record, including a 7-1 mark in CCIW play. The two were also 5-7 overall in the No. 1 doubles spot.

The match will also be the first of the spring season for the Kohawks, who enter Sunday sporting a 7-2 record overall and 6-2 mark in the ARC. Augustana is 13-8 all-time against Coe, including wins in their last eight encounters. The Vikings defeated the Kohawks 7-2 at home last season. Augie has won three straight in Cedar Rapids.

Start time is scheduled for 2:00 p.m.
