BROOKINGS, S.D. -- Michael Gille of Augustana indoor track & field competed at the South Dakota State Indoor Classic on Friday, participating in the 5000m run at the Sanford-Jackrabbit Athletic Complex.

In a race that featured runners ranging across the NCAA DI, DII, and DIII levels, Gille placed 13th out of 25 participants with a time of 14:38.96. The mark places him in third all-time in Augustana history in the indoor event. He sits just .23 seconds behind second place in the record book. Ambo Bati holds the all-time mark with a time of 14:21.52.
