Viking women building towards postseason with road game at Elmhurst

Augustana looking for fourth-straight in in league play

ROCK ISLAND, Ill. – Augustana women's basketball (4-7, 10-10) looks to improve their chances for a conference tournament berth tomorrow with a mid-week matchup at Elmhurst.
 
The Bluejays enter the week with a 2-17 overall record and a winless 0-11 mark in CCIW play. Elmhurst is currently riding a seven-game losing streak, all of which coming against CCIW competition. Most recently, Elmhurst dropped an 85-60 contest at Illinois Wesleyan. Elmhurst's last home game also ended in a loss, 80-74 against Carthage. The Bluejays' last victory came in non-conference play over Coe College.
 
Elmhurst is led by Taylor Harazin's 10.9 points per game. Harazin is the only double-digit scorer on the club. Kate Matthews and Katie Matrise are just behind Harazin with 9.5 ppg and 8.3 ppg, respectively.
 
Harazin also leads the Bluejays on the glass with an impressive 6.9 rebounds per game. Elsewhere, Cate Boling and Marissa Urso are the top distributors on the Bluejays with 2.7 apg and 2.6 apg, respectively. Matthews, Urso, and Boling are also the only three Bluejays to average more than one steal per game.
 
Augustana defeated Elmhurst in this season's first matchup between the two teams. The Vikings took the game in Rock Island by a 78-64 score.
