CHICAGO, Ill. – Augustana women's basketball jumps back into CCIW play Saturday, December 10, when they match up against the North Park Vikings in the Windy City. 

The Vikings enter the contest with a 6-3 record, recently falling 92-64 to No. 14 UW-Whitewater on the road. Augie endured an opening period that saw the Warhawks drain seven of eight three-point attempts, their highest-scoring frame of the season. The outstretched lead saw the Warhawks carry a 29-point lead into the half, digging too deep of a hole for the Vikings despite winning the second-half margin by a point. 

Gabriela Loiz was a bright spot for the Vikings, contributing a season-high 20-point effort while tacking on five boards and two steals. Elsewhere, Carly Stone added 11 points, leading a 32-point bench outing for Augustana.  

North Park enters Saturday's contest sporting an even 4-4 record while sitting at 1-1 in CCIW play. In their most recent matchup, the Vikings bested North Central on the road by a 75-52 score. Victoria Perry produced her second 24-point effort of the season to propel North Park to their first conference victory. North Park also shot 33 percent from deep, their highest in any contest this season.

Augie edges North Park 41-37 in the all-time series, with the most recent matchup between the two programs resulting in a 55-46 victory for Augustana on February 5, 2022 in Chicago. The two squads split their season series in 2021-22.
