ROCK ISLAND, Ill. – The Augustana men's wrestling team will host the Elmhurst Bluejays at the Roy J. Carver Center on Thursday evening for their first CCIW dual meet this season.

Augie is coming off last weekend's Pointer Open, where the team produced two consolation bracket runner-ups in A.J. Joyner (174) and Mikey Rodriguez (141). The Vikings had six additional wrestlers finish with 2-2 records in their opening tournament of the season. 

The Bluejays fell in their first dual of the year to conference foe Millikin by a score of 6-41. Elmhurst amassed two victories out of a possible ten against the Big Blue, with wins coming from Joe Carringella (174) and Norbert Crecan (184). 

Augustana is 14-11 all-time against Elmhurst, dating back to the 1967-68 season. The Vikings were bested on the road against Elmhurst last season by a 24-22 score.
