KENOSHA, Wis. -- The Augustana Vikings women's volleyball team will be back in action on Wednesday, October 5 as they take on the Carthage Firebirds in a battle of first-place teams.
Augustana is coming off of a 2-1 weekend at home, defeating CCIW foe and No. 21 ranked Illinois Wesleyan on Friday before splitting a non-conference tri-match against Loras and Grinnell. The 3-2 victory over the Titans on Friday moves Augie's record to 3-1 in league play, bumping them up into a three-way tie for first with North Central and Carthage. They defeated Carroll by a score of 3-1 in their most recent outing, also picking up wins over Wheaton and North Park throughout their CCIW slate thus far.
