ROCK ISLAND -- The Augustana Vikings women's tennis team will dive back into conference play on Wednesday, October 5 when they host the Elmhurst Bluejays at the Lower Campus Courts.

It has been over two weeks since Augustana's last dual match, which was an 8-1 victory over Carroll to move them to 2-2 on the season. Since then, the Vikings have competed in just one tournament as a trio of players competed in the ITA Regional Championships in St. Louis, Mo. this past weekend. Hannah Colbert and Caitlin Hanulikova each picked up a win during their stay, both victorious via super tiebreaker. Hanulikova and Colbert lead the Vikings this season in singles wins, with five and four, respectively.

The Bluejays enter Wednesday with a 6-3 record overall, but are 0-3 in CCIW action. The team is a perfect 6-0 in non-conference action, winning their first four matches of the season. They have dropped all three conference matchups by a score of 9-0, with their most recent defeat coming to Carthage last Wednesday.

Augustana has never lost to Elmhurst, winning all 34 encounters. The Vikings defeated the Bluejays 9-0 last season in Elmhurst.
