ROCK ISLAND -- Mark Addison and Joseph Addison of Augustana men's water polo have been named the MPSF Newcomer and Player of the Week, the conference announced Monday evening.

Winning his first-ever MPSF weekly honor, Mark Addison converted seven of his eight shots (.875) to help the Vikings to a 2-1 weekend and third-place finish at the D-III Eastern Championships, October 22-23. He added nine steals, four drawn exclusions, and two assists through the three games.

Also winning his first MPSF award, older brother Joseph Addison tallied 10 goals, 10 assists, six drawn exclusions, and four steals to help the Vikings to their 2-1 weekend and third-place finish. He converted 10 of his 14 shots for the week (.714).

Augustana has now secured eight weekly MPSF awards this season.
