LISLE, Ill. -- The Augustana Vikings women's volleyball team will play in their final non-conference contest of the season on Wednesday, October 19 when they visit the Benedictine Eagles.
Augie enters Wednesday with a 15-9 overall record after dropping a pair of matches on Saturday to UW-La Crosse and UW-Platteville. The Vikings fell to the La Crosse Eagles in five sets before falling to the host school Pioneers by a final of 3-1. This came a day after Augustana took down the Dubuque Spartans on the road, bouncing back from a 25-6 set-four defeat to win the match in five.
Benedictine currently sports a 10-10 overall record and will take on Concordia-Chicago on Tuesday night before hosting the Vikings on Wednesday. The Eagles are currently in the midst of a three-match losing streak, falling to fellow CCIW opponent Carroll in their most recent outing by a score of 3-0. Prior to their three-game skid, the Eagles had won eight of nine after starting the season with a 2-6 record.
Augustana is 10-13 all-time against Benedictine. The Eagles won last year's meeting in Rock Island by a score of 3-1.
Start time is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
