DUBUQUE, Iowa -- The Augustana Vikings women's volleyball team will be in action October 14 and 15 as they face three non-conference opponents over the weekend.

On Friday, the Vikings will play at the Dubuque Spartans at 6:00 p.m. The Spartans enter Friday's meeting with a 9-12 overall record and have dropped five of their last six contests. Dubuque was defeated in their most recent outing on the road, falling to UW-Platteville, who Augie will play on Saturday, by a score of 3-1. The Spartans have squared off with seven common opponents with Augustana this year, posting a 4-3 record in those matches. 

Augustana is 13-20-1 all-time against Dubuque. The Vikings were winners in last year's encounter at home, erasing a 2-0 deficit to win the match in five sets. Augie has won six of the last seven meetings against the Spartans.

On Saturday, the Vikings continue north for the UW-Platteville Invitational. Augustana will face UW-La Crosse in a neutral-site contest at 11:00 a.m., followed by a matchup with the home team Pioneers at 1:00 p.m.

La Crosse enters the weekend with a 9-12 overall record and will square off with Platteville Friday night before taking on the Vikings on Saturday. The Eagles snapped a three-match losing streak in the their last outing, defeating Luther by a score of 3-0. UW-La Crosse is 0-1 vs. CCIW opponents this year, dropping their only contest against Millikin by a final of 3-1. The Eagles lead the all-time series 9-2 over the Vikings, winning a neutral-site meeting at Elmhurst back in 2016 by a score of 3-1.

UW-Platteville currently sits at 16-5 overall. The Pioneers have won six of their last seven matches, including the 3-1 victory over Dubuque their last time out. Platteville is 1-1 against CCIW foes this season, sweeping Carroll before losing to Millikin in consecutive sets. Augustana is 12-23 all-time against Platteville, defeated in last year's meeting at home by a score of 3-2.
