ROCK ISLAND, Ill. – Augustana women's basketball (9-10, 3-7) looks to extend their winning streak to three games this weekend. The Vikings are set to host Carroll on Saturday, Jan. 29.

Carroll enters the weekend with a 13-4 overall record and a 5-4 record in CCIW play. The Pioneers won their last contest in a 5-47 defensive affair at home against the Wheaton Thunder. Carroll's last loss came to Augustana in Waukesha which snapped a seven-game winning streak.

The Pioneer offensive effort is led by Katie Rohner's 12 points per game. Rohner has played just 11 of the possible 17 games for Carroll. Natalie Palzkill and Elizabeth Behrndt are also key scorers for the Pioneers with 9.4 and 9.1 points per game, respectively.

Behrndt scores her buckets in an efficient fashion with a team-high 57.5% shooting rate. Behrndt is also second on the Carroll squad in rebounding with 5.9 boards per game, just behind Allison Thompson's 6.1 rebounds per game. Thompson is also a defensive presence with 2.4 blocks per game.

Kate Christian is the most efficient distributor for the Pioneers with a team-high 3.3 assists per game, just ahead of Olivia Rangel and Chloe Halverson. Rangel also contributes defensively with 2.5 steals per contest, the best perimeter defensive measure on the Carroll roster.

Augustana and Carroll squared off just four days ago in Augustana's upset road victory. Saturday's tilt will be the second matchup in three games between Augie and Carroll.
